Presentation on “Local Anesthetic Toxicity, Anaphylactic Shock – Signs and Management” at Herident Dental Clinic

On March 21, Herident Dental Clinic held a presentation titled “Local Anesthetic Toxicity, Anaphylactic Shock – Signs and Management” to provide essential medical knowledge for all healthcare staff at Herident Dental. The session aimed to help staff identify early warning signs and respond promptly, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients in cases of anaphylactic shock.

To create favorable conditions for the clinic’s medical team to update and enhance their medical knowledge, and to improve the overall quality of healthcare services, Herident Dental organized the presentation on the afternoon of March 21.

At the session, the Board of Directors of Herident Dental invited Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Deputy Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation – Hanoi Medical University Hospital, to deliver the presentation to all clinic staff.

Anaphylactic shock is a severe, acute allergic reaction that can be life-threatening if not treated in time. During anaphylaxis, symptoms such as vasodilation and capillary leakage, the sudden invasion of allergens or bacteria into the bloodstream, and bronchial hypersensitivity and constriction may occur, leading to hypotension, tachycardia, vascular collapse, and potentially resulting in shock. Therefore, anaphylactic shock is a clinically recognizable condition that requires immediate intervention to save the patient’s life.
